Account Monitoring

See and control which key accounts are paid for monitoring.

Monitoring is how Sillage keeps watching a key account for signals. It is paid per account, per business unit, per month, in credits. A business unit is identified by persona_id.

Monitoring is set with signal_buckets: ["essential"] monitors an account (mapping and interaction signals), null means not monitored. Only essential exists today.

Statuses

Every key account has one status in a business unit.

StatusMeaning
monitoredThe account is monitored in this business unit and its paid month is running, or your workspace is not billed.
not_coveredThe account should be monitored but the monthly renewal could not be paid. Top up credits and it is renewed automatically: we retry every hour.
monitored_elsewhereThe account is monitored in another business unit only.
not_monitoredThe account is not monitored in this business unit. If it was stopped during a paid month, covered_until shows when its signals end.

Read monitoring

  • Each account of GET /api/v3/top-account-list/accounts carries monitoring (status, covered_until, not_covered_since) for the business unit read. Filter on one status with monitoring_status. Send persona_id when your workspace has several business units.
  • Get monitoring summary: how many accounts are monitored, what they cost and how many are not covered.

Change monitoring

  • Monitor or stop accounts: a selection of accounts in one business unit.
  • A whole list, including the accounts that join it later: set signal_buckets with PUT /api/v3/lists/{kind}/{list_id}. null stops the whole list, including the accounts picked one by one. Each list also reports signal_buckets and monitored_count.
  • One member: PATCH /api/v3/lists/{kind}/{list_id}/members/{member_id}/signal-buckets with signal_buckets.

The list members endpoint (GET /api/v3/lists/{kind}/{list_id}/members) filters on signal_buckets (essential or none), and each member reports its own signal_buckets.

A list attached to several business units charges each of them. Stopping never refunds the month already paid.
