Personas

Define who each team of your workspace targets.

A persona describes who one team targets: the job titles, locations and type of company it sells to. It is one of the settings that most affects the quality of your leads, so take care when you create it.

A workspace can have several personas, one for each team that uses Sillage. In the app, such a team is called a business unit, and each business unit has its own persona. A persona applies to everything that happens for its team:

  • which key accounts it monitors, and which people are mapped at them;
  • which content is collected for those accounts;
  • which lists, and which people in them, its signal setups use;
  • which leads are finally surfaced.

A persona has a name and these targeting fields, all lists: job_titles, excluded_job_titles, locations, headcounts, industries, seniorities and exclusion_criteria. It also has an optional tag. job_titles and locations are required to create one; name defaults to "<your domain> persona".

What each field drives

FieldWhat it drives
job_titles, locationsAccount mapping, content, and the job titles a signal adds when use_persona_job_titles is true.
excluded_job_titlesPeople whose LinkedIn headline contains one of these words won't become leads.
exclusion_criteriaSentences or keywords describing who to leave out: leads and companies that match score lower.
headcounts, industriesWhich of the people found by signals are kept and how well they fit.
senioritiesThe seniority levels this persona targets.
name, tagYour own labels. They change nothing.
