Salesforce

Push Sillage contacts, Accounts and buying-intent data into your Salesforce org — and stay in control of exactly when and what gets written.

The Salesforce integration writes what Sillage finds into your CRM: Contacts inside your target Accounts, the Account itself, and the buying signals detected on them. From there your reps work in Salesforce as usual — with intent data on the record.

Nothing is written to Salesforce until you decide. Connecting the integration does not start a sync.

Connecting is step one, launching is step two. After you connect, the contact sync is Paused. Sillage writes nothing to Salesforce until an admin sets the options and clicks Launch sync. This is deliberate — you choose the rules before anything lands in your org.

What it does

  • Creates or updates Contacts in Salesforce for the people Sillage tracks in your Accounts.
  • Adds intent data on each Contact: intent score, number of signals, which signals, when the last one happened.
  • Optionally creates the Account and associates the Contact to it. A Contact is still created even when its Account can't be matched — Salesforce doesn't require one.
  • Gives you the same settings panel as HubSpot's integration — sync scope, creation mode, and sync options — so switching your team's primary CRM doesn't mean losing control.

One HubSpot option has no Salesforce equivalent yet. HubSpot's card offers "Never touch customer contacts", which shields closed accounts from automated writes. The Salesforce card does not — every matched Contact is updated regardless of customer status. The guard is planned but not shipped, so the switch is left off the card rather than shown and ignored. See Sync options for what actually runs today.

Connect Salesforce

Open the integrations page

Go to Settings → Integrations and find the Salesforce card. You must be an admin of the workspace.

Get the package installed (first time only)

Salesforce integrations need Sillage's packaged app installed in your org before you can connect. If the card shows "Contact us to install the 2GP package", reach out — someone on the team installs it and enables the integration for your workspace.

Connect your org

Click Connect Salesforce. A secure connection window opens where you log into your org and approve the permissions Sillage needs. You land back in Sillage once it succeeds.

Set your rules, then launch

The Salesforce card now shows Connected, and the contact sync shows Paused. Choose your options — each one is explained here — then click Launch sync.

The settings, in one glance

The Salesforce card holds the same four blocks as HubSpot's. They answer four different questions, and it is worth being clear which is which.

BlockThe question it answersOptions
Contact syncIs the sync running at all?Launch / Pause
Contact PushWhen does a Contact get pushed? On new intent only / Full mapped roster
Contact Creation ModeCan Sillage create people who aren't in Salesforce yet?Update existing only / Create and update
Sync optionsWhat extra rules apply to each write?Create missing companies & associate

Contact Push and Contact Creation Mode are the two people confuse. Push timing is when; creation mode is whether a missing person is allowed to be created. Picking "On new intent only" with "Update existing contacts only" is legal but very restrictive — a brand-new prospect showing intent is simply skipped.

Where to go next

See Every setting explained for what each toggle does, what it costs you if you get it wrong, and the one HubSpot option Salesforce doesn't have yet.
